Time flies! The past 12 months we celebrated the 10th anniversary of the eTwinning community of schools on various occasions both online and offline and now – right before the Christmas break– we would like to look back at the highlights of 2015 and thank our contributors!

2015 was a year to remember! Starting from the eTwinning travelling mobile stations “SouthTwin” and “NorthTwin” that spread awareness about eTwinning among teachers, headmasters, parents and pupils throughout Europe, to the very first eTwinning Day – our newly established annual tradition, which was a blast in schools all around the eTwinning universe, we are humbled by your participation in our festivities and would like to thank you for putting your heart into spreading the eTwinning message!

We also held the 2015 Prizes ceremony the Royal Belgian Institute for Natural Sciences in Brussels, the recording of which you can watch here and read more about the winners and runners up here, and presented stories of pupils who had participated in eTwinning projects in the past, as well as testimonies from teachers who talked about their experiences.

Our ambassadors also had something special in store for this milestone year; a brand new bonding activity on twitter, the #etwiam chats! Finally, the 2015 Conference took place in October in Brussels, with a focus on active citizenship and many inspirational workshops, preparing the ground for this year’s book, the eTwinning generation – now available!

For their invaluable support, we would like to thank all the regular blog contributors, National Support Services and passionate ambassadors: Tea Rezek (HR NSS), Rosario Ortega (ES NSS), Martina Nebeska (CZ NSS), Amanda Debattista (MT NSS), Cornelia Melcu (RO), Tomislav Pavlović (HR), Katarzyna Sopolinska (PL), Monika Regulska (PL), Marilina Lonigro (IT), Miguel Garcia (ES), Adil Tugyan (TR), Maria Sourgiadaki (GR), Daniela Bunea (RO), Maria Georgiadou (GR), Antonietta Calò (IT), Carmine Iannicelli (IT) and Thomas Herlofsen (NO), as well as anyone who has forwarded us pictures and texts to publish. This mini-website was created for you, eTwinners, and would not have been a success without your contribution!

The website will remain accessible for browsing, but no new articles will be published in 2016.
Thank you all for an amazing year, and here’s to more eTwinning adventures in the years to come! We wish you all happy holidays!
